This course will present the history of film and animation. The student will learn types and style of direction, producing, lighting, composition, editing styles, sound and pre-production planning including pitching.
Maya 3D – This class covers understanding and utilizing the basic tools and commands necessary to create 3D projects. Attention is given to the particular design challenges encountered while working in three dimensions. Students are introduced to 3D animation and scene building. Prerequisite: Associate of Arts in Graphic Design or satisfactory completion of courses ART111 through EM253 or an appropriate amount of industry experience.
Macromedia Flash – Interactive Multimedia presentations for networks, CD’s and the Internet. Combines and animates sound, picture and video files into a user-navigated presentation. Light computer programming is involved for advanced management of responses to user actions.
