EM251 — Introductory Web Design

 

This course provides an introduction to many basic concepts, issues and techniquesrelated to designing, developing and deploying web sites. Emphasis is placed on theimportance of organizing and preparing graphics and content for the web. Studentswill the learn the fundamentals of HTML, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Designprinciples, typography and grid systems will be presented as foundations for effective sitedevelopment. Students will also build their understanding of print design by creating aneditorial layout for both print and web. (100 hours)
