MA103 - First Aid and Emergency Care /CPR
CPR (BLS-C card) and basic first aid procedures are presented. Maintenance of emergency office supplies and equipment is discussed. Students will learn the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. The role of the medical assistant in emergency situations is discussed including bandaging techniques. Students will develop typing and 10-key skills along with word processing skills. Students will practice vital signs, venipunctures and injections. (50 hours)
