MX251 - Externship
The Externship experience provides the student with the opportunity to practice the skills they have been taught in school. It is a real world scenario in which the student will work with patients, doctors, and other members of the healthcare delivery team. This hands-on experience gives the student on-the-job training that would be impossible to provide in a classroom setting. The Externship Site Supervisor will complete weekly evaluations tracking the student’s progress, as well as a final evaluation at the completion of the student’s hours. The Externship Coordinator will monitor the student’s progress, along with the Externship Site Supervisor, with on-site visits being performed. (160 hours)
Prerequisite: Completion of all other courses in program
