Email AraAra Hatamian holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Trinity International University. He has been an instructor in Platt College’s Paralegal Studies program since 2005.
As a legal Professional, Ara brings years of experience both in the private sector and the government sector of the Justice system, including Criminal Law, Torts Law, Civil Service Law, Administrative Law, and matters of Affirmative Action. He has worked as an Advocate for the Chief of Police of Los Angeles County Police, working directly with the Chief of Police to arbitrate police misconduct in accordance with Civil Service Rules, Procedures and the Peace Officers Bill of Rights. Prior to his appointment as an Advocate for the Office of Public Safety, Ara spent 3 years with the Los Angeles County District Attorneys Office as a senior law clerk assisting in the prosecution of criminal defendants in the County of Los Angeles.
Ara prides himself on his civil service, and has volunteered teaching intercity 5th graders of crime prevention. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family and new born nephew. Ara’s favorite quote is “Choose a career path you love and you will never have to work a day in your life”.
