Email PatriciaMs. Denys has been an instructor in Platt College’s Visual Communication Department for over 20 years, served as Director of Education from 1992-2004 at the Newport Beach campus and a Department Chair in Ontario since 2004.
Ms. Denys holds a Master in Fine Arts degree from the Vermont College of the Union Institute, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Austin. During her career, Ms. Denys has authored and designed several books, including: Artistic Leanings (in progress), Animal Magnetism, Smithmark Publishing, New York, 1998, Faces of the Vatican Collections, and Celebrate San Antonio: A Cookbook.
Her photographs have been published in magazines and books such as Tasha Tudor’s, The Great Corgiville Kidnapping, “International Artist,” “Country Living” and “Southwest Art.” She is a working artist who has exhibited internationally.
She is a regular presenter and contributor at national conferences in visual communications and design, including the School of Visual Arts Annual National Conference on Liberal Arts and the Education of Artists in New York City and has three published papers.
Ms. Denys has been selected for Who’s Who in America’s Teachers, and has been named by the California Association of Private Post-Secondary Schools (CAPPS) as Teacher of the Year.
