Carina Aguirre

Email CarinaCarina Aguirre has been an instructor at Platt College since 2007, teaching students in Family Law I-II, Research and Writing I-II, Legal Writing, Civil Procedure, Advanced Trial Procedure, and Wills & Trusts.

Carina has multiple years of experience working in Southern California private law practices specializing in Family law and Immigration, advocating the rights of domestic violence victims.. Her bilingual ability and intercultural training brought her to create her own business in 2005. She founded Pacific Mediation, a practice specializing in family and domestic relations. Carina also has served as an adjunct professor at several private universities and community colleges in the Southern California area teaching various areas of law and specialized training to paralegals and legal assistants. Carina is also a privately contracted continuing education speaker that has toured throughout California.

Carina holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from Texas Tech University Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Texas A&M. While at Texas Tech, she was nominated for “Who’s who Among American Law Students”, and an active member and elected officer of the Hispanic law student society. During her law school career, she was an invited public presenter of her own thesis, Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures: Guarding the Global Trading Community, at the inaugural Texas Tech Law and Science Symposium. Copyright and publication is currently held by Texas Tech University Law School.

Debra Hirsoulas

Email DebraDebra Hirsoulas has successfully taught medical assisting students for over 16 years. She holds a National Allied Health Certification.

Debra holds a Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University, and a Masters in Education from Cambridge College.

John LeDell

Email JohnJohn LeDell has worked in the Multimedia Design field for over 16 years. John is the President and Director of Running Dragon Productions, a locally-based advertising/marketing production agency specializing in production of video, film, multimedia, post production, motion graphics, visual effects, animation 2D/3D, graphic design, branding, digital imaging, printing, and web design.

John has been an instructor at Platt College since 2003, teaching courses in Drawing, 3D Animation, Art and Film Editing, and Video Compositing.

John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts, and a Master of Arts degree in Art and Art History, from Cal State University Northridge.

Patricia Denys

Email PatriciaMs. Denys has been an instructor in Platt College’s Visual Communication Department for over 20 years, served as Director of Education from 1992-2004 at the Newport Beach campus and a Department Chair in Ontario since 2004.

Ms. Denys holds a Master in Fine Arts degree from the Vermont College of the Union Institute, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Austin. During her career, Ms. Denys has authored and designed several books, including: Artistic Leanings (in progress), Animal Magnetism, Smithmark Publishing, New York, 1998, Faces of the Vatican Collections, and Celebrate San Antonio: A Cookbook.

Her photographs have been published in magazines and books such as Tasha Tudor’s, The Great Corgiville Kidnapping, “International Artist,” “Country Living” and “Southwest Art.” She is a working artist who has exhibited internationally.

She is a regular presenter and contributor at national conferences in visual communications and design, including the School of Visual Arts Annual National Conference on Liberal Arts and the Education of Artists in New York City and has three published papers.

Ms. Denys has been selected for Who’s Who in America’s Teachers, and has been named by the California Association of Private Post-Secondary Schools (CAPPS) as Teacher of the Year.

Ugo Nwaoha

Email UgoUgo Nwaoha has been an instructor at Platt College since 2000.

Ugo’s professional experience includes teaching with Riverside County public schools, and as a member of a local legal practice where is work includes: drafting motions, trial briefs, and settlement agreements; responding to discovery requests; and legal research and opinion writing.

Ugo holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from the University of West Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from the University of California Berkeley.
