MAS162 – Employability Skills for Medical Office Personnel
The focus of this course is on development of employability skills essential for today’s office personnel. Models for analytical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, and conflict resolution will be presented and practiced within the context of current business issues such as multiculturalism, employment equity, harassment, ethics, and productivity. The following office worker skills will be addressed: promoting the products and services of the organization, telephone and reception techniques, organization and time management, stress management, self-analysis, self-promotion, and professional development. Students will develop typing and 10-key skills along with word processing skills.
