Platt College’s School of Medical Sciences is pleased to announce that its Alhambra, Ontario, and Riverside campuses have received initial American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) accreditation for its Veterinary Technology Associate’s degree program.

Platt College’s Veterinary Technology Associate Degree Distance Education program is currently considered an extension of our on-campus program which has initial AVMA accreditation. With initial AVMA accreditation graduates will be eligible to sit for the Veterinary Technology National Examination (VTNE).

AVMA accreditation is widely recognized as the gold-standard of accreditation for veterinary technology programs, and Platt College is proud to be amongst that elite group.

“This is a great honor and the result of hard work on the part of our students, faculty, and staff,” said David Liss, RVT, Program Director of the Alhambra campus. “I am very proud of Platt’s program and am ecstatic we have achieved this status within two years of launching the program.   We are proud the AVMA has recognized our ongoing commitment to Veterinary Technology education, and look forward to achieving full accreditation for our program at the earliest possible date.”
