Diagnostic medical sonography utilizes high-frequency sound waves to produce dynamic visual images of organs, tissues, or blood flow inside the body. These images aid physicians in their diagnosis of the patient.
Sonographers typically work closely with patients and radiologists in clinical health-care settings, including medical centers, medical clinics, and physicians’ offices.
GRADUATION FROM THE PROGRAM DOES NOT GUARANTEE ENTRY INTO ANY CAREER. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS MAY APPLY DEPENDING ON AN INDIVIDUAL’S PREVIOUS EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE.
