Veterans Affairs (VA) Benefits offered at PLATT COLLEGE
Veterans may be eligible to receive a monthly stipend if:
- You entered active duty after June 30, 1985 AND;
- You received an honorable discharge AND;
- You continuously served for three years OR two years, if you first enlisted for that long OR ;
- You served two years if you have an obligation to serve for years in the Selected Reserve and entered Selected Reserve within a year of leaving active duty.
Veterans may be eligible to receive a monthly stipend and payment of tuition and fees if:
- Has received, or will receive, a discharge that is other than dishonorable
- Has a service-connected disability rating of at least 10%
- Has a memorandum rating of 20% or more from the Department of Veteran Affairs
You may be eligible to receive a monthly stipend if:
- You are a member of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard Reserve, Army National Guard, or Air National Guard And;
- Have a 6-year service obligation in the Selected Reserve or;
- Are an officer in the Selected Reserve and you agreed to serve 6 years in addition to your initial service obligation.

Platt College is approved for the Yellow Ribbon program. Veterans may be eligible if:
- Eligible for Post 9/11 benefits at the 100% level;
- Purple Heart recipients with an honorable discharge and any amount of service;
- A dependent eligible for Transfer of Entitlement under the Post-9/11 GI Bill® at 100% level

- You are a child (between ages 18-26 with some exceptions) or a spouse of a veteran who is permanently and totally disabled due to service related condition; or who died in service; or who died of a service-connected disability or who is listed as a POW or MIA
