Our curriculum meets all CA VMB Alternate Route continuing education requirements. Additional requirements apply, contact the CA VMB for details.
Upon successful completion of the program of instruction, the graduate will be awarded a Veterinary Technician Certificate DE provided all financial obligations to the school have been met. Courses in the Certificate in Veterinary Technician Alternate Route DE program are pass / fail courses. To pass a course, a student must receive 70% or better.

* The Alternate Route also requires at least 4416 hours of practical experience under a California-licensed veterinarian. Please note that the CA VMB eligibility requirements are subject to change at any time and without notice. Platt College does not control the requirements of the CA VMB. Applicants are responsible for verifying their eligibility for the RVT examination.
The Veterinary Technology Alternate Route program at Platt College is not Title IV eligible.
Except as expressly provided in California Education Code Section 94898, Platt College reserves the right to modify policies, course schedules, curricula or courses within reason due to exigent circumstances, program upgrades and/or content changes, and to cancel programs of study, modes of delivery, upcoming start dates or individual courses as it deems necessary. If a course or program is canceled, the school may schedule course completion at a later date or refund all monies paid for the canceled course or program if the student does not wish to continue with the program at the later date.
